Menter Iaith Maelor

Development Officer
Dr Siôn Aled Owen

Siôn, who was born in Bangor, has been in post since February 2003. Previously, he was General Secretary of ENFYS, the Commission of the Covenanted Churches in Wales, and also Local Ecumenism Enabler for CYTÛN, Churches Together in Wales. He has also worked in Scotland and in Melbourne, Australia. He is married to Siân, and they have one son, Rhys.


Administrative Officer
Mrs Gwenda Lynch

Gwenda has been working as the Menter’s part-time Administrative Officer since December 2003, and she is also a business studies student at The North East Wales Institute. She previously worked as a Manager with W H Smith in Chester, and before that spent a period promoting Welsh products in Florida. Originally from Glyndyfrdwy, Gwenda is married to Phil, and they have two sons, Siôn and Dylan.
